Steampunks are a constituent of a subculture that obtains its encouragement from the late 19th century, principally its Victorian-era dress, technology and fortitude of innovation. It is the era before electricity was invented and steam engine equipment ruled the day, as did awareness to craftsmanship and improvement.
Steampunks are hobbyists and routine enthusiasts devoted to this period.
They dress in period garb (corsets, goggles, gloves, hats, hairpieces and vests) and retrofit or “mod” items (like their computers) look like they were made in the late 18th century.They discover things. They assembled weaponry, pipes, gadgets, and mechanical boxes in the era style. They often include gadgetry, components, and the equipment of the period like brass and copper.
